Terry Graham, MA – Executive Director & CEO

Ms. Graham is the founder and Executive Director/CEO/President of Veterans Housing & Services. She is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of VHS, serving as its public spokesperson, and working with the Board of Directors to develop its projects and funding. Terry has long served as a business and management consultant to businesses, with an emphasis on marketing professional services. She also has worked as a writer, editor, and trainer for numerous businesses and nonprofits and has served on Boards of four nonprofit organizations. After college, she worked for the Dept. of Defense at HQ US Army in Europe, Heidelberg, Germany, where many soldiers were stationed following tours of Vietnam. Her father (US Army Air Corp) and uncle (US Army) served in WWII, and her brother served in Vietnam (US Navy). She earned a Master of Arts degree cum laude in Mass Communication from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in Journalism cum laude from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She is conversant in Spanish.

Annette Gibbs, MBA – Secretary / Treasurer

Annette GibbsAnnette Gibbs serves as VHS’s Secretary / Treasurer. Annette has worked as a computer consultant / project manager for numerous Fortune 500 companies. She holds an MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Francisco. A native of Marin County, Annette is active in the Belvedere-Tiburon Rotary Club, where she helps to manage events and improve housing for seniors and low-income individuals.

Peter Engler – Director

Peter EnglerPeter Engler is a Principal and Senior Search and Executive Coaching Consultant with San Francisco’s Ferneborg Group and Marin County-based Engler Career Group, focusing on consumer products, technology and financial services. Prior to his work as an executive search partner and career coach, he spent more than 25 years at advertising agencies including FCB, Saatchi, and J. Walter Thompson, where he led New York, Chicago and San Francisco agency teams charged with promoting high profile consumer products, banks and technology clients. He continues to provide career coaching and executive search services for executives nationwide. A published author, Peter was awarded two air medals as a combat Navy pilot during the Vietnam War. He is a graduate of Bucknell University and is married with five children. He enjoys water sports, tennis, skiing and reading and writing a broad range of fiction and non-fiction books.

Diane Greer – Director

Diane Greer has an extensive background in non-profit fundraising, program development and aiding transitioning seniors. A former real estate agent, she has expertise in residential acquisitions and property management. She is qualified in counseling homeowners in foreclosure, victims of domestic violence, and in facilitating complex adoptions. A skilled speaker and mediator, Ms. Greer has conducted numerous civil mediations and restorative-justice victim-offender reconciliation mediations. In 1999, she received a Proclamation Commendation from the City of Novato for her mediation work, which was profiled in the Wall Street Journal and other publications, and on Good Morning America. She earned a MS degree in Counseling Psychology and a BA degree from the University of Dominican with a specialization in Marriage, Family, Child Therapy and Mediation. Her father, Donald Arthur Greer, was awarded a Purple Heart for his service during the Korean Conflict.

Robert Plath, JD – Director

Robert Plath

Marin County icon Robert Plath, passed away in November 2015. He was the founder and President Emeritus of the Worldwide Forgiveness Alliance. A veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, Bob has run programs on forgiveness for Bay Area veterans and incarcerated individuals. He maintains a private legal practice emphasizing personal injury and criminal law. Bob earned his law degree from Hastings College of the Law, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Michigan.
